P2K3 Socialization for Production Employees at Buana Triarta: Building Better Workplace Safety Awareness

Buana Triarta recently held a P2K3 (Occupational Health and Safety Committee) socialization event specifically for production employees. This session aimed to provide comprehensive information on the importance of workplace safety, accident prevention, and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on the job. Additionally, the event served as an opportunity to introduce the company’s BPJS health service offerings, ensuring all employees understand its benefits and available facilities.

The first session, led by Ms. Fiana and Mr. Koko, focused on the fundamentals of occupational health and safety and accident prevention methods. This segment emphasized the importance of safety awareness to reduce the risk of workplace accidents. They also covered the various types of accidents that could occur in a production setting and outlined methods for prevention.

Participants were also introduced to essential accident response procedures for personal and coworker safety. This knowledge aims to equip employees with the ability to react promptly and correctly to emergencies in case of workplace accidents. Ms. Fiana and Mr. Koko also introduced the concept of 5R – Resik (Clean), Ringkas (Organized), Rapi (Neat), Rawat (Maintain), and Rajin (Diligent) – as an effective method for creating a safe, clean, and comfortable workplace. Each employee was encouraged to implement these principles, along with the use of complete PPE, such as helmets, masks, gloves, and safety glasses, while working.

In the second session, the 5R team and First Aid (P3K) team led the materials. Here, employees were given an in-depth introduction to the 5R concept and its importance in their daily tasks. Additionally, they were shown the proper way to use PPE, highlighting its critical role in preventing injury within the production environment.

The P3K team introduced themselves and shared various programs available to all Buana employees, such as strategically located first aid kits and regular first aid training sessions. Employees were encouraged to share their experiences with workplace accidents they had witnessed or experienced, as well as the methods used to handle them. Through these discussions, employees learned essential first-aid techniques to help prevent further injuries before medical assistance arrives.

The final session covered the BPJS program, including accessible facilities and the BPJS claim process. This segment aimed to ensure employees fully understand BPJS benefits, which include inpatient, outpatient, and workplace accident coverage. The HR team provided a step-by-step guide for the BPJS claim process, enabling employees to handle it promptly and efficiently if needed.
