Export Prediction for 2025: Will It Be Better?

The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) has set an export target for Indonesia to reach US$294.45 billion in 2025, marking a 7.1% increase from the previous year. Shinta Widjaja Kamdani, Chairperson of the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo), is optimistic about achieving this target. Focusing on enhancing the added value of export products by reducing raw material sales is a key strategy to strengthen Indonesia's global competitiveness.
As a wood processing manufacturer with 90% of its products exported worldwide, the export target set by Kemendag serves as a strong motivation for Buana to continuously improve the quality and value of its wood products. Buana's main focus is ensuring that every exported product has a competitive advantage in the international market.
Beyond enhancing product value, Buana is also committed to global certification standards such as FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and SVLK (Timber Legality Verification System). This commitment reflects Buana’s active role in maintaining a responsible supply chain and environmental sustainability. Certified products not only reinforce market trust in Buana's offerings but also contribute to global efforts in forest and ecosystem conservation.
Buana understands that in the highly competitive international market, quality and sustainable forestry are the keys to maintaining and expanding market share. Therefore, eco-friendly production processes, high-value product innovation, and compliance with international certification standards remain the company’s top strategic priorities.
